EDD ZÍSKEJ

The EDD ZÍSKEJ electronic document delivery service allows users of participating libraries to obtain an electronic copy of a printed resource (normally in PDF format) that cannot be borrowed from their home library. Within this service, copies of only part of the documents can be made. Copies of monographs can be requested up to 20 pages of a draft, copies of periodicals can be made up to 1 article.

The document must be located in one of the libraries participating in the ZÍSKEJ, which provides EDD as a supplying library. To be able to use the service, the reader needs to be duly registered in his/her home library, which must be connected to ZÍSKEJ as a requesting library with the EDD module running.

The reader searches for the requested document in the Knihovny.cz portal and follows the same procedure as when requesting MVS; after clicking on the details of the title, he/she selects the ZÍSKEJ EDD tab at the bottom of the record, which is located next to the ZÍSKEJ MVS tab. To order, you must be logged into the Knihovny.cz portal.

During the creation of the order, the preliminary amount charged is calculated; the final price will be specified only after the electronic copy is actually made. Obtaining a copy is conditional on payment in the ZÍSKEJ system.

For reasons of higher protection of authors or other copyright holders, copies are provided with a protective element. It is expressly forbidden to alter or remove such marking on the electronic copy in any way, as well as to change the format of the electronic form of the accessed document.
