Digital archive of the Rubezh illustrated weekly (Harbin, 1926–1945) produced by East View.
The digital archive of the magazine Rubezh (DA-RUB) provides access to the full content of this prominent illustrated weekly magazine of the Russian émigré community in Manchuria. The Rubezh (Border) magazine was published in Harbin between 1926 and 1945 and, thanks to its wide network of contributors, provided information about everyday life not only in Manchuria, China, but also about the life of the Russian diaspora in other countries around the world. Publication ended with issue no. 862 in August 1945; after the Red Army entered China, the journal was shut down and its staff and many contributors were arrested and deported to the USSR.
The database is produced by East View Information Services.
Access is provided thanks to the participation of the Slavonic Library in the creation of the digital archive.
