Mgr. Michaela Mrázová
Michaela Mrázová is a graduate of the Silesian University in Opava and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Ostrava in the field of Information and Communication Technologies in Education. Her doctoral research focuses on developing the digital competences of librarians within the framework of lifelong learning.
She has a long-standing interest in the professional development of librarians in the areas of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and modern educational approaches. From 2019 to 2023, she worked at the Moravian-Silesian Research Library in Ostrava. Since 2024, she has been employed at the National Library of the Czech Republic, where she has focused on internal staff training and development projects. Since November 2025, she has been the Head of the Library Institute.
She is actively involved in the activities of the Czech Library Association (SKIP), serving as a member of the Executive Board and Chair of the Young SKIP section. She also represents both the National Library and SKIP in the Education and Training Section of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
