Fantasy and Horror of the First Half of the 20th Century in Polish Literature.

The exhibition on the occasion of the 100th death anniversary of the writer and Nobel Prize winner for literature Władysław Reymont presents a less-known but fascinating chapter of Polish literature – fantasy and horror of the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition is focused on mysterious stories full of demons, death, madness, and occult forces, which at that time strongly resonated not only in Poland, but also in the Czech and German milieu. Featured are the works of leading authors of this genre, such as Jerzy Żuławski, Stefan Grabiński, Władysław Reymont, and Stanisław Przybyszewski, as well as the rich artistic culture that accompanied their texts.

It has been organized by the National Library of thee CR – Slavonic Library and the Polish Institute in Prague.
