The exhibition presents reproductions of albumen photographs by Moravian native Josef Wlha (1845–1918).

Photographic positives signed with the surname Wlha are found in many well-known funds and collections. The Lanckoroński Family Photo Library at the Polish Academy of Sciences and Arts (Polska Akademia Umiejętności) houses one of the largest collections of the author's photographs.

Josef Wlha was a prominent documenter of historical and artistic monuments in the Pre-Lithuanian region. The selection of photographs from his collection in Krakow confirms his ability to take precise shots and his sense of artistic detail.

The exhibition was prepared by the National Library of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Archiwum Nauki PAN i PAU and the Masaryk Institute and the Archives of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
