The exhibition of documents, photographs, published titles, and 3D objects commemorates the 60th anniversary of the commencement of source research of historical music collections and their processing for the Union Music Catalogue (Souborný hudební katalog (SHK), a central register of historical music sources kept on the territory of Bohemia and Moravia.
Featured are documents, photographs, published titles, and 3D objects connected with the concept of the Union Music Catalogue, its systematics and creation of cataloguing records, as well as every-day operation of the Catalogue as a public service. The exhibition is accompanied by a colloquium, held on 28 November 2025 in the Music Department of the NL CR. The colloquium is focused on milestones in the history of the Union Music Catalogue, outstanding personalities, who played important role in its beginning and further development, and it will also present current projects.
